Habitat

It breeds in south-western Europe and northern Africa in forests, shrubby vegetation, fruit trees, or gardens and thickets with scattered trees. Winters in tropical Africa.

Description

Hippolais of medium size, with olive green tones on its upper parts and ochre yellow on the chest and belly. Legs greyish or with brownish tones. It has a thick beak, and an eye ring; between this two it shows a pale eyebrow. Often sings from a perch exposed to view.
