Habitat

Due to a sharp population decline, it is increasingly difficult to observe this species. Formerly common in lowlands, undergrowth associated with agricultural areas or thicket areas with scattered trees. It feeds on the ground, being easier to see at that time or perched on cables.

Description

Small dove with an elegant figure and brownish-grey tones. The black and white ribbed collar on the sides of the neck stands out, as well as the shoulder area that has an orange “scaled” colour with a black centre, the chest with pink tones contrasts with the white belly.
