Habitat

It can be found in many environments such as orchards, parks and gardens, groves, riverside groves and farmlands with scattered trees.

Description

Small finch with a yellow rump that stands out in flight, adult males have a bright yellow chest, sides of the head and forehead, colours that are duller in the plumage of females and juveniles. Both sexes have black stripes over much of their body.
