Habitat

Unmistakable bird of ochre tones with wings and tail striped in black and white. It has a long crest with black tips that it usually keeps closed and only raises it momentarily when it perches or when it is nervous. Feeds mainly on the ground, probing with its long, curved bill for insects. Characteristic erratic flying and often very undulating.
