Habitat

This wagtail has a greater preference for riverbeds. It is common in small rivers and streams with many exposed stones. It prefers areas with forest or some trees near water, although it also frequents urban areas. Breeds in isolated pairs.

Description

It has grey upperparts that contrast with black wings, a well-visible pale eyebrow, and a bright yellow anal area. Adult males in the breeding season have a black bib that is white in females. The legs are short and it has a long tail that constantly wags when landing on the stones, giving away its position.
