Habitat

Population located mainly along the Ebro River and on the banks of the western half of the region of Alfaro. It frequents various aquatic environments, during the breeding season it can be seen mainly on the shores of lakes and rivers, preferably with riparian vegetation, at other times it visits various wetlands including coastal lagoons and rocky shores.

Description

Medium-small wader, with a short neck and a long tail. It is identified by its behaviour before we can see its plumage, it has a characteristic rocking of the rear part of the body after each rapid movement or when perching. The plumage of the back is brownish and the white plumage of the shoulder stands out, it is a small strip between the folded wing and the chest.
