COMMON HOUSE-MARTIN

Habitat

It breeds in a colonial way on farms, towns and cities where they build mud nests, also on open land of all kinds. It feeds in various open or semi-open areas, especially on sheets of water and nearby fields.

Description

Small swallow with characteristic plumage, with a blackish-blue back, white rump, and white underparts. It has long, pointed wings with a short, low-cut, black tail. Bill black, flat and short. It is usually observed in flight and grouped.
