Habitat

Regular migrant, although it is infrequent to observe this specimen during migratory passages throughout the Ebro valley. During migration it occupies a wide variety of aquatic ecosystems. It usually appears as solitary individuals or small groups.

Description

The largest of the redshanks that usually appears in our territory. Medium-sized wader with long greenish legs and a long, thick bill that is slightly curved upwards. It has a fairly light colouration, dominated by whitish tones on the chest and greyish on the back. In flight you can see the dark wings, with white rump and very pale tail.
